Dr. Juliana Mazzotta, O.D., received her Doctor of Optometry from The Ohio State University College of Optometry, where she graduated in 2025 and was recognized as the Graduate of the Year. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology, with minors in Chemistry, French, and Psychology, from the University of Miami in 2020.
Following optometry school, Dr. Mazzotta completed a residency in Primary Care and Ocular Disease with an emphasis in glaucoma at the Brooklyn VA Hospital. She is focused on providing comprehensive eye care and is passionate about helping patients maintain lifelong eye health through personalized, compassionate care.
Dr. Mazzotta chose to become an optometrist because she was inspired by the profession's unique ability to build long-lasting relationships with patients while preserving and protecting their vision. She enjoys educating patients about the complexity and beauty of the eye, explaining diagnoses in a way that is easy to understand, and creating a comfortable, welcoming experience during every visit.
Originally from Darien, Connecticut, Dr. Mazzotta looks forward to serving the Hackensack community at Focus Eye Care. She welcomes new patients, provides family-friendly, in-person care, and is fluent in both English and French. Outside of the office, she enjoys spending time with friends, exploring thrift stores, and taking trips to the beach whenever she can.
